The Dating Pool: This was quite a week for relationship soft launches for celebrities of a certain age group. Starring in the upcoming movie The Naked Gun together (it’s receiving rave reviews and debuted with a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes), Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are together.
Also, Tom Cruise was spotted with Ana de Armas, and Jessica Alba was seen kissing Danny Ramirez.
Sydney Sweeney’s jeans are a big point of debate and online chatter. Her latest ad for American Eagle jeans is being called out for promoting racial superiority due to the gene/jean wordplay script, and also being mocked for being unnecessarily overtly sexual for a campaign that is claiming to donate its proceeds to a domestic violence non-profit. Advertising tends to be subliminal in nature, but this is giving 1930s Germany…
Leonardo DiCaprio is building a hotel.
The Social Network 2 cast is slowly coming together, with Jeremy Strong rumoured to play Mark Zuckerberg as Jesse Eisenberg passed on the role. Mikey Madison could play Frances Haugen, the whistleblower who disclosed Facebook’s documents in 2021, while Jeremy Allen White could play Jeff Horwitz, the reporter who led the breaking of the Facebook files.
San Diego Comic Con- Lucasfilm head honcho, George Lucas, attended Comic Con for the first time ever and announced the new Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. The upcoming Coyote vs Acme movie’s footage plus poster was released, fans got a first look at Tron: Area, and the first teaser of the final season of The Boys.
