Changing The Prophecy, Italian Rendezvous & The Pentagon Pizza Tracker
Vol. 2 Issue 35 – 31st August 2025
It’s a love story
2025 is turning out to be quite a year for Taylor Swift. After reclaiming her master recordings and announcing her new album, she is engaged! The Instagram post announcing the engagement became the most-liked picture by an artist on the platform, currently standing at 35 million likes, and has also become the most-reposted post on Instagram.
The engagement reportedly took place 2 weeks prior, when Swift and Kelce recorded their New Heights episode, where she announced The Life of a Showgirl. Travis Kelce used the 3-hour window to have their backyard set up and decorated for the proposal post-podcast. As for the ring, it appears to be an 8-carat elongated antique cushion-cut diamond, valued at $500,000, designed by Kelce and a New York jeweller, Artifex Fine Jewelry.
It’s no surprise that the world celebrated this news like their own, because when you spend almost 20 years writing, singing and caring about feelings people can relate to, they’ll care for you too. Especially when her boyfriend/fiancé loves her loud and loves her right. Here’s wishing our English teacher and Gym teacher a happily ever after. 87 and 13 do make a 100 after all.
And if that wasn’t enough, Taylor Swift broke a new Guinness World Record after her appearance on New Heights pulled 1.3 million concurrent viewers on YouTube, the most ever for any podcast!
Celeb shenanigans
Sabrina Carpenter's new album, Man’s Best Friend, is out now! Unhinged lyrics, catchy melodies and strong vocals, my personal favourites lie in the second half of the record: When Did You Get Hot?, Don’t Worry I’ll Make You Worry and Goodbye.

Also in Italy, the Venice Film Festival- Andrew Garfield and Monica Barbaro arrived together, Julia Roberts urged her castmates to open their cans together, Emma Stone said she believes in aliens during the press for her new film Bugonia (received a 6-minute standing ovation), Jacob Elordi and the cast of Frankenstein received a 15-minute standing ovation.

Nina Dobrev is set to star in rom-com It Happened One Summer, alongside Tyler Hoechlin, based on Tessa Bailey’s novel of the same name. This is definitely NOT what the BookTok community pictured for the blonde bombshell character in the book.
In other news
Twitter/X was rife with rumours of Donald Trump being dead, as he wasn’t seen in public, and the Pentagon Pizza Index showed unusually high activity. What’s pizza got to do with the American President, you may ask? Well, The Pizza Index, also known as the Pentagon Pizza Meter, refers to sudden, observable surges in takeout food orders — not necessarily pizza — from offices such as the Pentagon, the CIA, or the White House, right before major international events or crises are announced to the public.
Government officials order food from nearby restaurants when they stay late at the office to monitor developing situations such as the possibility of war or coup, or an alleged president’s death in this case, thereby signalling that they are expecting something big to happen even before the public is made aware. This index can be monitored through open resources such as Google Maps, which show when a business location is abnormally busy.
