The 2025 Grammy nominations were announced solidifying that this truly was the year of the pop girlies.

After Beyonce, Charli xcx, Billie Eilish, Post Malone and Kendrick Lamar hold 7 nominations each
First-time Grammy nominees, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan are both up for 6 awards each, including the four major award categories of Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist. Raye, Willow Smith and Addison Rae (for her feature on Charli xcx’s Von Dutch) are also first-time Grammy nominees
Taylor Swift too has been nominated for 6 Grammys for The Tortured Poets Department and its lead single Fortnight. She is also nominated alongside Gracie Abrams in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for their collab Us. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are also nominated for this category for Die With a Smile
Ariana Grande has been nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Dance Pop Recording, but missed out on any major categories
Olivia Rodrigo’s Can’t Catch Me Now for the Hunger Games prequel is nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Dua Lip and her album, Radical Optimism have not been nominated in any Grammy category

Chappell Roan’s SNL performances were one for the books. While performing her hit, Pink Pony Club, she pointed her mic to the audience to sing the chorus and in a rare occurrence, the SNL studio audience actually sang back loudly and in sync.
