A real life Conclave, return of the Lorde & Hollywood casting blessings
Vol. 2 Issue 17 – 26th April 2025
🎶You’re gonna be pope-ular🎶
Pope Francis sadly passed away on Easter Monday; however, with the recent popularity of the Oscar-winning film Conclave, the general public is thoroughly invested in the candidates elected to be the new pope, knowing what the process is like up close. Someone somewhere in Hollywood had a field day in a marketing meeting because immediately after it was announced that Conclave, the movie, would start streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Alongside Conclave, other catholic/pope related movies like The Young Pope, The Two Popes, Angels & Demons, also saw an uptick in popularity. Other people in the spotlight were JD Vance and Trisha Paytas. Pope Francis had previously publicly condemned Vance’s religious views and JD Vance happened to meet him only a day before his demise, so naturally, he was deemed evil. On the other hand the reincarnation jokes were back as Trisha Paytas is pregnant, so obviously the pope will be reincarnated as her baby.
