The simultaneous Gladiator 2 and Wicked press tours and premieres are giving the Internet a lot to chat about. It’s no Barbenheimer, but as I said in Issue 15, it is a certain Twitter-Letterboxd-pop-culture-connoisseur’s field day, and I certainly fit in the demographic.
Wicked:
The Mattel ‘Wicked’ dolls’ packaging have a slight misprint. The website on the back instead of reading WickedMovie just says Wicked, leading to a porn site.
Director Jon Chu missed the LA premiere of the movie but sent a video message from the hospital, where his wife gave birth to their daughter on the same day!
Jonathan Bailey’s character’s horse in the movie is the same one he rode in Bridgerton.
Influencer Harry Daniels known for going up to celebrities to sing their songs poorly (and awkwardly) at them, sang Ariana Grande’s Put Your Hearts Up to her at the premiere.
